Fincas Near Manacor

One of the largest municipalities in Mallorca, the city of Manacor is located 50 kms from Palma and has a small population of 30,000 inhabitants. Being a county administrative center, it houses the public bodies, which serve the region, such as the Inland Revenue Service. It is a main commercial center in this region, and is famous for its artificial pearl industry, which draws hundreds of tourists to see how these pearls are made. Next comes, its wooden furniture production, which also attracts people from all round the island to do their furniture shopping. Horseracing and even chariot racing on weekends, which are held at the Hipodromo, have many fans. The local countryside has many prehistoric archeological remnants and evidence of Palaeochristian life of the Roman period. So this area has been inhabited from ancient times. Some of the famous areas and buildings in the town are the Square with a vegetable market, the Convent, Church of Mare de Deu dels Dolors, and the Palace of the Mallorcan Kings (now we have only the remains of it).

There is one finca situated on a lovely hill, located near Son Macia and very close to Manacor, with its markets. This finca offers stunning views of the middle of the island. More than 250 years old, this property was fully restored in 1999. The walls are one meter thick, to give you a pleasant weather in summer and winter. You’ll be impressed with the fantastic garden, a lovely pool with sauna and great terraces and porches, it has.
